My favorite travel companions have been the ones I didn’t even know I needed. It so happens that the magic of Sedona called a coven of women into a red rock vortex with clickers, and clouds, and margaritas.
Nancy is a companion who reminds me to be silly, banter and play. Thank you.
Lisa is a companion who shows me beauty through photos and her silly and easy sense of humor. Thank you.
Noreen is a companion who shows me we are never too old to be our sweet little girl selves twirling ribbons on mountaintops at sunset. Thank you.
Lory is a companion who shows me resilience by taking one steady footstep at a time. Thank you.
Lori is a companion who reminds me it’s really quite a joy to have an easy going companion who doubles as a shotgun car DJ and direction guru, who also doesn’t mind sleeping with her luggage. Thank you.
And Karen is a companion who shows me in real time what it feels like to have the sister I never had. Thank you.
Now my babies are here for a few days, saying the same things I said when I first saw the enormously gorgeous Arizona landscape that God has created. Stuff like, “WOW!” and “Look at that!” and “Baby cactus!”
My favorite times are when I am traipsing behind my girls, watching them move swiftly across the red dirt. Bantering, offering water to each other, stopping in the shade for the other to catch her breath.
And I am soaking in every cotton picking minute of it.
Happy Sunday Friends,
I love you…
Michelle
Love all that you gained from this beautiful trip! And what a bonus to end it with your oldest two cherubs!
